Why is my Safari 3 (522.11) Beta in brushed metal?!?

Mine is Brushed too. I think they only got rid of the Brushed in Leopard and Windows.

Yep the Mac version is still brushed.

Yeah, I think the sagely-spoken 2ndPath hit the nail on the head. iTunes plays by its own rules; hence the separate treatment by theme changing apps such as UNO.

The default look for most Apple apps in Tiger is still brushed metal, henced the brushed Safari 3. A lick of UNO does the trick nicely, though.
