Why is my Samsung 840 pro SSD being read as Apricorn media?

I was attempting to clone my HDD on my macbook pro to my samsung SSD and the disc utility read the SSD as Apricorn media. Is it not supposed to say Samsung? Excuse my ignorance.

Heres what it says.

The adapter is why it is showing up as that. When it is installed in your machine, it'll show up correctly.

You're seeing the enclosure/adapter's name/model, not the SSD.

The adapter is why it is showing up as that. When it is installed in your machine, it'll show up correctly.

Thanks you! I thought it might be the adapter but it was a corsair brand, wasn't too sure.

The adapter may say Corsair, but the chipset is reporting Apricorn. I have a few docking stations that do the same thing with certain WD drives.
