Why is no one testing the Magsafe Puck with the 18W Apple Charger

So I purchased a magsafe puck. Place it in an anker 'fast charge' usb hub and used Watts Lite to test - a whopping 3W delivered to the phone.
Tested again with my iPhone 11 pro plug which clearly supports up to 18W... a whopping 7W delivered to the phone.

Just how can I get the 15W as advertised? Oh to shell out for an Apple 20W charger and toss my others in the bin. How environmentally friendly!


Is this just me? Has anyone tested the magsafe puck with last year's Apple 18W charger? What were your results?

I tried the 18w brick and got 15.75w wireless on my 12 Pro using the Amperes app. The 20w brick yielded the same results. So no need to shell out extra money.

You realize you bought an optional item that is recommended to be used with a 20w plug. If you want to believe their statement regarding being environmental friendly, the 18w plug from your 11 fast charges fine with the USB C to lightning. Also the smaller sized box, means they can fit more in a shipment (outside of France) and save on fuel burn (and cost) and other logistics related carbon emissions. Also other people do have 18w+ USB C power supplies lying around from before the 12 release.

I just got an 18w fast charging brick yesterday. When I was at 10% it took about an hour to charge up to 100%.

So what are you saying about the MagSafe puck?

Yes but regardless of what they are recommending, the iPhone 11 pro came with a 18W brick.. the Magsafe tops at 15W, so I would expect to see something close to the full 15

iPhone 11 Pro allows for only 7.5W wireless charging. You would need the iPhone 12 to support the advertised charging speed and capacity. The iPhone 11 Pro only supports up to 18W wired. You can Google “iPhone 11 Pro wireless charging speed” and decide for yourself with the info. But you won’t ever get 15W wirelessly on the iPhone 11 Pro.

The video I linked above says you have to use the Apple ONLY 20w brick to get fast charging on MagSafe. 3rd party bricks won’t work. Here’s the video again.
