just curious, i checked Apple online and shipping for new Iphone 5S says 'Ships October' and no date or anything. does that mean they are sold out and can't confirm availability and shipping date ?

Why is Shipping Showing as 'Ships on October'

They probably don't want to commit to a date. It depends on how many they can crank out on the manufacturing line.
