I have a Word document on my computer that's called WAR.doc (it stands for Weekly Action Report). It's in a subfolder in my Documents folder. If I type WAR into my Spotlight search box at the top right of the screen, it doesn't come up anywhere on the list. Why? The odd thing is that if I manually navigate to the document, open it, close it, then type WAR in the search box again, it comes up as the top hit. So if the Spotlight results are based on usage, this still doesn't make sense: as the name implies, I open this document at least once a week. So given that I open it fairly regularly and that the search term exactly matches the document name, why isn't it consistently the top hit in Spotlight?
