why is syncing Pages documents so difficult with the mac!?

Posted this also in software, not sure, delete one if you must.

So I make a pages document on my iphone WITHIN the app, but to get it on my computer, I have to share it, then drag it onto my computer from within itunes. Lame. Why can't all my pages documents be WITHIN the app on my computer?!? How much easier would that be? And whenever I make a change it makes the change on my iphone from icloud or something...

Like look at iphoto, all photos are within the app. look at itunes, all music is within the app. why is it different for pages?
