Just to give some perspective in terms of thickness of Pro iPhone starting from the X series :

From most thin to most thick:
iPhone 12 Pro thickness : 7.4mm
iPhone 13 Pro : 7.65mm
iPhone X/XS : 7.7mm
iPhone 14 Pro : 7.85mm
iPhone 11 Pro : 8.1mm
iPhone 15 Pro : 8.25mm

What I don't understand is why - since 12 series - iPhone are getting thicker every year. Is there a thermal issue for SoC or space issue for components like optics or battery ?
Everyone praises the 15 pro for its lighter weight but thickness is as important when it comes to manipulate a phone. It's the same weight as 12 Pro so it's not really that impressive considering that 13 Pro and 14 Pro are big boys.
I would love the same 15 Pro but with the same thickness as iPhone X or even a bit less like 12 Pro.

And yes I go to the gym that's not the point, I manipulate a phone hours and hours everyday so it better be extremely confortable given its price tag.

I agree to getting thicker is BS. I’m a user who doenst need 24 hours of battery life as I work from home and mostly just stay at home. I’d take 1/2 the battery life for 1/2 the thickness and weight. Give me 12 hours of battery life but a phone that’s 4mm thick and 100g 😂

With all the advances in chip technology (making them more energy efficient), I’d take a modest hit on performance for better battery life. Perhaps an option you can enable if ou want maximum performance. I doubt most would notice a 15% speed reduction (especially on the 17 chip), but would certainly appreciate the longer battery life.
