It was 1,349 as far as I remember one year ago. Maybe they changed the panel?

No, it was $1799 last year.... I remember pricing one, but decided to wait till an update. Nothing has changed since then. Still waiting.

Ok it was 2007 then...I remember with the student discount it was $1,300 or so

Looks like, if anything, the price has dropped considerably!

Student discounts across the board got whacked a while back, while the retail prices stayed the same.

$1300 is about the refurb price. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

Nah, never even seen a Refurb ACD.

However, I wish they would at least add a second HDMI port and support for HDCP. Afaik it doesn't support HDCP?

It is a beautiful monitor, though.

I want the New 30 inch LED Cinema Display

I'm also waiting for Apple's 30 inch LED Cinema display, but I think but not for sure the new 30 inch will be release when the new Mac Pro's comes out but I could be wrong, they discontinued the 23 inch and came out with 24 inch LED, now they discontinued the 20 inch but don't know what Apple going to do with 20 inch only time will tell but I hope the new 30 inch will be out soon i've been saving up for a year and manage to save $4400 that more then enough for the current 30 inch but that display been out for a while and I like the new design of the 24 inch and hope that carries on to the new 30 inch, 2560 x 1600 I would love to work on that can't wait for it to be released hopefully by next month or so.

Who knows when the new ones are comming out. Didn't apple just discontinue the 20" only? if they were planning for a refresh, they would have taken the 30" off too. Either that, or they are planning a full on consumer assult with no pro love (leave the Mac Pro casing the same but with a new architecture, which will match the 30" mon).
