Why is the Battery Widget so semi-useless??

I was just wondering this myself.. I'd like to add my iPad battery to my iphone battery widget but aren't sure how or if it can be done.
 
now a choir of Apple fans will come and say that you are trolling because you thought that an Apple widget is semi-useless. How it can be, it has millions of new features, it is a masterpiece they will tell you :)
