I only sometimes need to use the Bluetooth keyboard (like when I am writing a long text), and speed is important. But I noticed that when you connect Bluetooth keyboard to an iPhone, you can only use the Bluetooth keyboard to type, instead of the keyboard on the screen. Is there a way you can use both?

I noticed that the keyboard on the screen was there too a little while ago (I don't know how) but it disappeared again (and I don't know what i did that made it disappear).

How can i make it appear again? I would like to use it in conjunction with the bluetooth keyboard.

Tap on a text input field and the onscreen keyboard should appear. It hides by default because iOS knows there's an alternative input device, but you should be able to pull up the onscreen one as well.

Maybe it worked because I was away with it for a time (some distance from the keyboard) and then got close to it again?
