This question gets asked every year. It’s difficult to understand Apple‘s allocation in terms of how they distribute the Apple Watch from Point A-to-Point B, but the only thing that really matters with them, is they do tend ‘to under promise and over deliver’. From my past purchase(s) from Apple, every product has always arrived before the ‘expected arrival date’.
Don’t know exactly. But there appears to have been a lot of persons ordering early then running to the store to purchase because their order hadn’t shipped yet.

When I ordered (graphite 44mm w/black sports band), originally told would get 9/30-10/7. I'm actually getting tomorrow, so, your dates will probably lower as you get closer...
The new watch comes a a new color that many people seem to relay want. Add to that the demand for certain band watch combinations and delayed shipping, and you have your answer.

I ordered a watch with a braided band with the sizing of 10. There was shipping delay and my local store got my exact model without the braided band so I got that. If I didn't do that, my band would be too big as the sizer was off by 2 and I would have to return the whole watch and try to buy another one

I ordered graphite stainless steel last night and did an in store pickup this morning. plenty in stock here in austin, tx!
If possible check in store stocks. My online order said late October. On launch day I ordered one for in store pick up and they had stock. Maybe that won’t be the case now.
I’m seeing a lot of stainless steel gold availability in Apple stores near me. Boston, MA, USA. If Apple stores near you are open you might check for stock. Be flexible on the band choice for maximum availability.
Where did u get it. I thought the Apple store was closed. Domain or Barton creek. Or did u get from some other place
