Why is there an insane shipping delay on the Promise Pegasus RAID?

I'm not planning on buying one of these at all - they're such a bad deal (I built a 24 TB RAID for $600), but I noticed they're delayed until late September. Is this a chip shortage thing, or is everyone buying them? What's the deal? By the way, the location of the Apple store is completely wrong - I don't live anywhere near El Paso - maybe that's the deal. (Screenshot attached.)

Shows the same for me and correct location (you probably have location services turned off or have denied your browser permission to access your location data). Other models by same manufacturer on Amazon also say 3-5 weeks until shipment. I'm guessing it must be a supply-chain issue of some sort.
