why is there no trackpad sensitivity?

I find when I am using 2 fingers to scroll in safari that it often does not pickup and the cursor is moving, every other laptop on the planet has a sensitivity setting for the trackpad so why is there nothing for the mac? there is no apps / tweaks anywhere is there? I can't find anything

I used to hate trackpads but the one on the mac is much bigger than the other ones I have used so I am really liking it minus this issue once in a while :)
