So i have a big problem. Im a college student, resultantly I rely on office. Today office decided to stop working. Totally randomly. None of the programs will open. They jump in the dock for about a second then disappear. I have gotten it to get to the point where it stays in the dock, but it wont open and I have to force quit it. Can anyone help me??
 
I'd try repairing permissions in Disk Utility. Other options would be to trash the preference files or a reinstall of Office.
 
I tried to repair the permissions and that didn't work. Where would the preferences file be? I don't have the disks with me(one thing i left at home), is there anywhere I can just download the program and get the serials from my parents over the phone?
 
Do a spotlight search on

word.plist
excel.plist
etc.

Move them from their location to the desktop. Try relaunching app. If all is OK, then trash the plist files on the desktop.
