why isnt my mighty mouse behaving itself?!

after i wake my MBP from sleep the side buttons on the MM dont work. and to solve this problem i have to keep going back to the mouse preferences and reassign the side buttons.

my question here is, why does my laptop or mouse change its setting by itself?

is there any way to solve this?

i havent had this problem until couple of days ago. i have no usb or firewire devises connected to my MBP. the only thing thats plugged in is the optical cable and the ethernet cable.

any suggestion?

Is it a wireless mouse? Have you tried changing the batteries?

try turning BT off then back on

yes it is a wireless MM.
and my battery is still max.

i know how to get the side buttons working again but its just that i dont want to keep going back to system preferences to reasign the side button everytime.

Gee and I thought having my mouse pointer randomly fly up to the top of the screen was bad...
