Is it that they have been designing this thing for a while now and implemented that proprietary connector before EU decided to ban those.

Or did they just decide to test it in US first?

They have not worked out the mass production manufacturing yet - the curved motherboard, screen etc. is new and the production of products are expected to be limited for quite a while (according to reputable leakers - there is expected to be a higher rate of issues on production). If they go worldwide then all countries will be in very very short supply and the time to ship will be quite high everywhere (longest likely ever). So they will sell in US first, then they will work out in stages. I live in a country that never seems to be in the first wave of releases of many of their products - so nothing new here.

Reactions: the future
A sealed original iPhone went on auction 16 years after launch.

What do you think you could get for a Vision Pro by 2040?

Apple wants to test the market first. Besides, Europeans will just gasp at the price - 4,699 Euros. Look at how many complaints we hear from them already about iPhone prices.

It needs to drop to iPhone pricing of $429-1599 to ship 1/3rd of a billion units worldwide annually to a human population of 10.4 billion.

Because by the launch date in 2024 the European recession will be so bad that Apple will end up charging €6000 for one.

It's more than likely because demand will be so high and production will be limited so limiting the launch market helps with that.

Funny you mention EU recession.

If you look at the slide in State of Union video it will be released in England, Germany, Japan, Singapore & China later.
