I don't get why getting 8GB of RAM or 256GB SSD are not options for the dGPU build. I prefer to keep my files on an external RAID, and don't need a lot of storage. I also in the next 3 years many people needing over 8GB of RAM, I'm sure some will, but not most.

Personally I feel the pricing should be:
$1899 for no dGPU, 8GB RAM, 256SSD, 2.3ghz option
$2099 for dGPU, 8GB RAM(16gb option), 256SSD(512/1tb option), 2.3 and 2.6 option
$2599 for 16GB, 2.3ghz, 512ssd

Apple doesn't want you to use a dedicated GPU on notebooks.
