I don’t understand why you can’t buy an Airport Extreme base station with a built in ADSL modem? After all they make one with an dial up modem… Now I need to find one that works well with all my airport kit.

An AirPort base station with inbuilt ADSL modem would be awesome.

Hell yeah, that would be sweet. Eventually the modems built into every computer will be ADSL as a back-up for people without WiMax reception. Kinda analogous to having a dial-up modem as a back up for when you can't get broadband (like me, on a main road, in one of the biggest regional centres in Australia - damn Telstra, I'm so glad they're in the **** and I sold my shares way back well above $5)

It's just not good enough, is it! :(

Not everyone has DSL so apple would have to make two kinds of a basestation. Wouldn't be such a bad idea if they had both DSL and Cable modem in a base station.

B/c there are too many flavors of DSL and even if you have one (a modem) of the same standard as your provider, it still doesn't mean it will place nice with your provider's DSLAM.

Bad idea, very bad idea.
