Why no current MBPs on display at a (retail) Apple store?

I was at an Apple Store yesterday and the 15" and 17" MBPs on display were all 2.33GHz. Even if they had sold out of MBPs, why wouldn't they have kept the current models on display? I found that unusual.

My Apple Store has the new ones on display. The demand is pretty high so maybe your store decided to sell theirs instead of displaying them. The only things that have changed are the specs and according to Apple, you can't tell a difference between the new LED displays and the old one.

you cant tell in the store i opened mine there....looked ok....but at home it had a tint of yellow

Not every MBP has a bad screen you know

A majority of them dont have problems you know.

Where was this Apple Store? I was under the impression that the store managers would be drug out into the streets and caned if they didn't keep their merchandise up to date.
