Why no live wallpaper??

So I've always wondered why Apple does not allow live wallpapers like Android phones. That is really one cool feature and true on screen widgets that really allow a user to personalize is something we still don't get a choice on.

Because Apple couldn't guarantee it's battery life lasting as long without live wallpaper. You do have a choice on personalization, cool features and on screen widgets. These reasons is why jailbreaking exist (for 9.0.2 and below).
