That was one feature I really liked on the iPhone 4. Did iOS 5 change this? It use to be under Settings, General, Network, and then turn off 3G. Its not there on the 4S?

Anyone know how to get this back?

Turning 3G saves battery and my EDGE signal is stronger than my 3G signal.

the option is still there to turn off 3G in iOS5 on the regular iPhone 4. that's lame that it's not there on the 4S.

I love how most people cried that the iPhone didn't have 4G and then I see this thread, someone crying about not being able to turn off 3G. HAHA

 - "Why can't we get next generation connections!?!?"
 - "Why can't we get last generation connections!?!?"

Mines there..

Enable 3G > On/Off

Edit: Using iPhone 4. Why wouldn't it not have it for 4S? Siri?

I was wondering about this after reading a lot of posts regarding the 3G issue. Thanks for clarifying man, it seems as so it's an ios5 on 4S thing...if it's still there for the 4, then i'm fine w/that in my situation.

iPhone is dumb when 3G signal is low, will keep switching leaving you with no connection at all. In this situation a switch for edge is great.

I'm not crying. Why don't you learn how to read first before making stupid accusations. Its nice to just have the option to turn it off. Like if I know I'm not going to be doing anything that requires a speedy connection, why not use EDGE?

Its definitely gone with iOS 5 and the 4S. Maybe they'll add it later on.

I hope they can fix that
I hope it doesn't have something to do with the
