Why no option to unify notification centre?

I think it's cool that apple allows to have 3 "pages" of notification centre but I don't understand why they didn't also give the option to have the classic notification centre where the missed calls and messages were on the same page as the weather. I know it's a simple swipe but id still prefer to be able to quickly see everything.

Because then you couldn't have a whole page of the calendar showing you have nothing scheduled for the next 5 hours.

The "classic" way is the "all" tab.
