General Why no Swype from Apple?

I’m sure this has benn discussed, but why doesn’t Apple implement Swype into there own keyboard? Is it a patent thing? Just not something they want? I hate third party keyboards, but love Swype.

I do really like how they implemented the pull down to access numbers/symbols on the iPad though. Would love a pull up to uppercase a letter though.

really want a swype type of option from apple.
i use google keyboard now. its great.but of course i dont trust google and it even warns you that everything you type is transmitted to google if you grant full access.
it cant be a patent issue.
its a mindset issue that apple has.
