Why not App Store pre-orders?

Do I have any dev's reading this tonight? I think you guys should start asking Apple to sell pre-orders of your apps.

Conditions need to be made first, like holding the apps to the same standards as all iTunes pre-orders. I'm talking about in-store advertising and push downloading. (These pre-orders could be pushed to OSX or iOS.)

MacRumors/Engadget/Gizmodo cover apps that aren't available yet. Think of all their readers (like me) who would elect to download your apps instantly rather than wait or remember to download.

That's about all I've got right now... make this happen, Apple.

They might be introducing that feature in a later update, who knows? The iTunes Store didn't have it at the outset.
