Why OSX dont save opened files position on desktop???

hi, ive noticed some apps on sierra (and prior osx's) dont save the position on desktop of the opened files. one example is textedit. i use it very often during day and every time i have to drag them on the desired place. also numbers, last update, moves files slighty distant from angles, when i use to keep them. is there a fix for it, at least for text edit? it s becoming a pain in the ass....
