all the extremely hi bidders have very low if not zero feedback.

Hence the other thread on here the other day

Why are some people on ebay jacka55, or something like that

I personally wouldn't pay that much at all, but it's really tempting for me to unlock and sell my iPhone 3G on there. They're going for over $500...geez. I sold my unlocked previous gen 8GB iPhone for $420 a few months back.

Because they then ask you to post it to Nigeria. It's a 419 scam. Happened to me twice when trying to sell iPhones.

+1. I've sold two iPhones on eBay, both times the winner was a Nigerian scammer. I ended up selling them to the 2nd highest bidder.

I don't know why some people would pay that kind of money either...
I hear it's usually scammers.

Here in the UK slightly damaged used iPhone 3Gs that don't have the warranty, free 12 months data, SIM, some of the accessories/box are selling MORE than they are NEW, with free 12 months data, and warranty from the O2 shops. Dumb ass eBayers.

And they're going £100 or so more just for being JailBroken. That took me what, 5 minutes? And they're even MORE for unlocked. yellowsn0w takes me less than 3 minutes to enter the source and download? :p

i had a winning bid of 1000 on my iphone, by someone from ohio
the never asked me to ship to nigeria, but also never paid
so i had to relist it
i also got several messages from nigerian scammers though
those were very annoying, because they were almost identical letters from several people

high bids like these are almost always pranks or scams
