I am considering to buy the HP M277dw or M477fdw. The larger one has dimensions of 43.2x64.3x41 (WxDxH in cm). I checked printer stands in Staples. They are hundreds of dollars. How come these stands are so expensive? Know any good low profile stand that together with the printer is still under a typical desk of about 70cm tall?

Find a cool piece of furniture that fits your style (new or used/vintage). Don't go to Staples.

...because some people do lots of research choosing printers and looking for the best price, then don't look too hard at the 'sundries'. File alongside expensive cables etc.

Plus, I've often suspected that office equipment suppliers, in particular, pump up their retail prices so that they can offer impressive-sounding discounts to businesses who open accounts with them.

(First rule of "bartering": the seller will always have inflated their opening price to accommodate any reduction they're prepared to make).

Thanks. I better make my own. It is not so difficult.
