Why remove iOS screen mirroring?? I just noticed

In MacOS 10.14 you could mirror your iPhone to your Mac and record the screen. They took the feature away. Why??? It was useful occasionally.
 
I just tried using QuickTime Player and it works really well for mirroring my iPhone.
