Sorry folks. Im a newbie and non-tech bee at that.

Why are people switching SIM cards from one ceullar model Ipads to another? Some state Verizon SIM is hard to get if not buying Verizon. Why use other SIM cards??? Why not stick with SIM card you got with your Ipad? Please help this old fart understand this.

Thank you

People who are taking advantage of tmobile complimentary 200 mb/month on months when they don't need a lot of data.

On months when they do or if they travel out of urban areas they can swap the verizon or AT&T sim in.

Hi,

Does that mean they need multiple data plan? T-mobile which is free and another?

Yes. However, ipad data plans are month to month so you can activate and deactivate whenever you actually need the data and from whichever carrier you have a sim for. With tmobile they give you 200 mb free each month as long as you have an account opened with options to purchase more data once you exceed 200mb.

Hi,

Then buying a non-t mobile version and getting the t mobile makes sense. However I see more people buying the t mobile version of iPad than other in another thread. I'm not sure why that is.

Thanks

Because T-Mobile is offering a 0% interest financing offer for their iPads.

Best way is to buy a verizon ipad since it's very easy to get a tmobile or AT&T sim. This way you have a verizon ipad that's ready to be activated on their network and can easily swap to AT&T/tmobile if you choose

Trying to get a verizon prepaid nano sim is extremely difficult from a verizon store and most just turn to eBay to get one.

Would it still be unlocked if you finance and buy from tmobile? I know with the 5s if you finance from tmobile then the phone would be locked until you pay it off.

All of the iPads are unlocked no matter how or who you purchase them from.
