Why the trackpad on the MBP 15" 2017 is so big?

The trackpad on the 15" model does not scale with that of the 13" model. How come it is so big? That is the point for having such a crazy big trackpad?

Do you have any problems when you use that trackpad?

Some users do struggle with accidental touches, and some just can't get used to the size.
Others do adapt, and find that moving back to a smaller trackpad is a challenge, too.

I just tried typing on it for a few minutes. No accidental touches but it was freaking big. If it were a 2nd screen like some very new Windows laptop's are having, that would be a different story.

Try it for a week. It seems big at first and then you start wondering why they didn’t make it this big sooner.
