why the upgrade prices on 13mbpr's CPU 2.4to2.6 and 2.6to2.8 so different ?



On 13' mbpr , upgrade from 2.4Ghz cpu to 2.6Ghz need $100
But upgrade from 2.4Ghz cpu to 2.6Ghz need $200

Both are to upgrade more 0.2Ghz but the price is double

Why is that so different???

They are both 2 core 4 thread,
i5 2.6Ghz has 3MB Cache,I7 2.8Ghz has 4MB Cache
i7's core is more 0.2 than i5

i don't see any other differences
Are they(i5 2.6 and i7 2.8) very different ? where is it ?

will the i7 temperature be cooler than i5 when running same job ?

- i5-4258U @ 2.4 GHz
- i5-4288U @ 2.6 GHz
- i7-4558U @ 2.8 GHz

Try checking the official Intel pricing on these CPUs, then it should become more clear. Hint: they are on Wikipedia.
