Why weather is not updating in different locations?

I am on Apple watch ios2, iphone 6 plus with ios 9. Weather icon temp is getting stuck in previous location and it doesn't get updated when I go to new locations (different city). Location service is on so I am not sure what the problem is. Only way to fix the issue is to turn off the watch and restart it. Anything can be done about it or is it a glitch in software.

Not sure if this is related or an old issue but I noticed the weather on the watch does not match what is on the phone. How often do the 2 communicate with each other?

I have this problem too. My watch often shows an umbrella whereas there is no rain forecast all day on my phone!

I believe the Watch is set to show the weather in your "default" location, rather than your current location.

Thanks for the suggestion. I already checked it before and the "default city" is set for current location on the Watch.
