I'm a new mac user and I my MacBook Pro, But I'm wondering why when booting a up I see the apple logo then circle spinning under it then blue screen

Is this normal or a problem

thanks

It's normal for that to be there for a little bit, less than 30s or so I'd guess.

I never really watch mine boot up, it's always just in sleep mode.

Does it eventually load to your desktop or is that a problem you're having (blue screen staying there)? Depending on how your login is setup, that blue screen you see after the Apple w/ spinning gear is suppose to be the login screen where you enter in username/password. If you have it setup as automatic login, it is perfectly normal to have the blue screen then jump to your desktop (as it skips the login window).

if it does get stuck thats a problem, it happened to my one week old macbook pro.

Anyway just thought i would post so i would get email updates of this incase you need some advice later on after you give us more info.
