I tried shooting this on both my 12 pro and mini and I they both do it.

Why?

What is that reflection?

I find the issue of lens flare is worse on my iPhone 12 than it was on previous iPhones. I get a lot of green circles and lines when taking photos in low light mode. This wasn’t so much of an issue previously. I’m surprised this doesn’t get discussed more often on here.

I also have the feeling for the 12 as there a few threads about it. Either Apple changed the anti reflective coating(do they have any?) to worse or the chip with higher sensitivity makes flare more visible
