Why won't macbook recognize my Epson NX printer??

Have macbook running OS X 10.5.7. Bought an Epson NX100 printer from Target for $30, it says Mac compatible, but my macbook won't recognize the printer. I tried installing the new printer but there is no "Epson NX" from the drop down menu. Any suggestions???

Usually with new printers you can just plug it into the USB port, install new printer, and you're set. Not this time.... Thanks for the help!!

Did you install the print driver?

Yep, if you have internet access (I'm assuming you do since you posted on this forum) go to Epson's site and download the latest drivers.
