Why wont my calendars sync?

I have just purchased a new iMac computer and I am trying to sync my calendar from my iPad to it. Now I have already set up the iCloud account and thought that is all I have to do but it doesnt seem to be so.
I can add other iCloud accounts (e.g: my parents) and it worked straight away all her events showed up. But I still cant get any of mine up.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

Be sure it is on in System Preferences.Mail,Contacts & Calendars.
