Why wont my Mac Pro remember where to save!!

I am not sure if anyone can help or has had a similar problem? I work with large numbers of photos daily using iView for the most of my work. However i have found on one of my mac pros when i transferrer images from an iView file into a folder the save box doesn't remember the previous place i saved to. I dont know if i can alter this in OSX or iView, but i dont have this trouble with my other mac pros.
Any ideas???

Yeah, its weird. Some programs remember, some don't. I'm not sure if the preferences can be edited.

You need Default Folder X. It's a shareware app that lets you customise the standard Mac OS save panels and includes an option to remember folder locations for different applications.
