So I downloaded Skype and started using it right away, I saw that the disk icon was on my desktop so I tried to drag it into my applications folder and every time that I do it just makes a copy of it. I really do not want the disk icon on my desktop (or any other icon for that matter) but I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. I have read other posts but nothing is working:mad: I just bought my MacBook Air last week so It has the latest operating system. Can someone help :(

Skype Application to Application Folder

By the sounds of your original post you are trying to grab the Disc Image. If you open that and drag the actual Skype icon it should go to the application folder with no problem. It may ask for a password depending on your security settings.

Can you post a screen shot of your Application folder and Desktop so we can see what it's doing? Pressing Command + Shift + 3 will take a screenshot and save the file to your desktop.
