So today I was watching a few of my videos on youtube and I see my video is flagged. I received no email from youtube about this, nor any complaints from users. Plus, how the heck could a car videos not be appropriate for minors?:mad: Is there anyway I can get this fixed?

What was the video about? and you should probably go around the FAQ's of their website..

I'm not entirely sure that they inform anyone, my friend's video got flagged a few months back and they didn't tell him either.

What does it mean to be flagged? Can it not be viewed?

Sorry, I dont frequent youtube, and have not uploaded anything there before.

you do know people randomly flag videos for the heck of it. Not sure if that actually works itself all the way to you seeing it as flagged but it happens.

Wow, whoever does that doesn't deserve oxygen, IMO. I just sent an email to youtube's press contact email (press@youtube.com) explaining the situation. There was no other way to contact them. I find it disgusting that they don't let end users directly contact someone from youtube.

Normally you have to do it through the youtube's flag review system.
You'll have to wait a few weeks to a few months for them to get back to you and fix the situation.

Hey bro is that you driving?

I wish

I'm 16 and only have a permit, and even if I had a license I couldn't afford those cars. I collected those videos from the internets...

How would I go about doing that?

ding ding ding! That is your answer, SpeedandMotion.com probably flagged you for pretty much claiming the content of the video as your work. and your music is copyrighted too.

Yeah - that is quite likely. If you downloaded someone else's video and then posted it as your own (even if you give them credit) it can make them grumpy.

And unless you have significantly altered the content - it can be copyright infringement (I have a pretty basic understanding of copyright law- so I can't offer much more guidance than this!).

Have you considered contacting their support?

Google Help › YouTube Help › Contacting Support
I already went that route. You cannot send in any questions. It has pre asked questions and answers in that section.

Well that would be under copyright infringement, not being inappropriate for minors. Also, what I did was legal under terms of fair use.

BTW, it can't be Speedanmotion because I have two similar videos and none of them have speedandmotion content yet they are still flagged

MOAR Flagged videos :eek::mad:

PS. Here is the email i sent to google (press@youtube.com)

Dear Youtube, I am sorry to have to go this route, but there are no other options. But I have three videos that are flagged as inappropriate, but follow all community guidelines.

It's obvious to me that you don't watch flagged videos, because if you did, these would not be flagged. Please resolve this issue.

what's in these videos?

Exotic cars racing at high speed on city streets?

prob not copyright then but maybe youtube deciding that showing people violating the law (um, speeding and other driving violations) puts youtube at risk should somebody sue saying they've encouraged youngster to break the law

if it was copyright violation, they would just take them down and not make them 18 and older

The videos comply with the community guidelines.

your view of the community guidelines anyway :p

so do they indeed show illegal street racing and illegal high speed driving on public streets? if so, then i suspect that youtube might in a moment of confusion decide that allowing impressionable young teens to view videos glorifying such potentially dangerous activity might create a certain amount of liability for youtube ....hence the need to require age verification

I agree with the OP that this is blatantly unfair as only minors would ever consider this video worth watching and now they can't. Does Youtube have a notification option to remind me to re-flag this video if it ever gets un-flagged?
