Wi-Fi access

Hi guys!

I apologize if this isn't the right place to put my question.

Soon I will move to a new city and start a master degree.
I will be living in a corridor room with 12 rooms.
When I get there, I won't have internet access and won't know anyone.
Can someone tell me some tools that I might use on my mac to try to access some Wi-Fi networks that might be available there until I can get my own connection running in my room?

You mean you want to hack available and protected networks?
If they are open, you don't need tools, and if they are closed, you could just ask.

Doesn't the school provide internet?

Do you have a 3G phone? Problem fixed, or you could use the school's Internet connection.

Don't know what city you are moving to but be careful. In Florida is a felony to hijack someone's wifi signal even if it's not password protected.
