Thinking of getting an A1143 external airport
but the old Mac is running Tiger
Airport Admin Utility v 4.1.1

Will an A1143 allow it to connect to local Wi-Fi?

I couldn't say, but if it can I would say that you would be very limited in internet use. I have a Mini using Tiger, and Safari's ability to connect with websites is virtually nil. Well, for the sites that I want to use.

Thanks Dave - I took this PPC back to 10.4 from 10.5 as it was much slower on Leopard. Might consider trying 10.5 again as one can use Chrome. With Snow Leopard I hacked Firefox to have web sites think it is TLS 1.3 and it works quite well. Might work w/ Leopard as well.

Thinking the a1143 is plug and play via e-net but concerned the Airpot Uitl app may be too old in Tiger.
