I'm trying to download playlists via Spotify and Podcasts via Overcast and read that the fastest way to do this was directly though wi-fi on the phone and not connected to the iPhone via Bluetooth.
Unfortunately when I connect directly to wi-fi I'm not getting any internet conection. Overcast is reporting "The internet connection appears to be offline"

Has anyone run into something similar to this and can provide me with a fix?

What happens when you run a speed test?

If that fails can you try connecting to a different WiFi network?

not sure if just a typo, but that should be "through wifi on the watch"

On the watch, make sure the small blue wifi icon shows at the very top center of control center (to get CC, hit the button on current OS, swipe up from bottom of screen on older versions). If you see a red phone (basically just a rectangle), you've got no connection. You'll see a green phone if there's a bluetooth connection. or the blue wifi icon with no phone if you're on wifi.

There's a wifi toggle in control center, that may be off. You can leave that on all the time, since the watch will only power on the wifi radio if it looses bluetooth connection to your phone.
