So, I am looking to see if there is something out on the App Store that will do what I am about to ask, or can I build this from shortcuts. Many of times I am in the shower and I get a message and I am told by Siri she can't read that message unless I unlock my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I don't want to get out of the shower and get my phone wet. Here now is what I am looking to achieve, as I enter my apartment an app that I either downloaded or constructed will automatically recognize the WiFi I gave permission to unlock my phone, unlocks it. As I leave the WiFi area it will lock my phone automatically. I can set up permission to unlock at home, work, etc..Worried about someone seeing your phone as you walk away from it? You have a manual shut off and can only be return that state by means of facial recognition.

No, it's not possible. Lock screen and the authentication process are handled exclusively by iOS.

What you've described would be a massive vulnerability.

You can enable Siri and Reply With Message on lock screen. Then Siri should be able to access messages when the phone is locked.

Apps and Shortcuts cannot unlock the phone without passcode or FaceID authentication.

Ok, so I just sent a message to myself and Siri says the following; "You Have To Unlock Your iPhone First". She doesn't even say how many messages I have. So, am I missing something that will allow Siri to give me my message count and the body of those messages when locked? If so just how do I do that?

Vulnerability, I agree somewhat but not entirely, for you are in control of how you want to have your iPhone to be locked and unlocked with automation. You can switch the automation off and it can be controlled by Face ID.

Go to Settings, Apps, Messages, Notifications, Show Previews. Change that to Always.

I seem to remember that having a major effect on Siri’s ability to use messages when the iPhone is locked

And this is why this group is outstanding. Russell I am forever thankful. Here I thought I was the guru of the iPhone settings. One more thing to add to what I already know. Thank you so much.
