To new 4g iPod Touch owners:

Despite the all metal backing, has anyone noticed any improvement on the Wi-Fi range from the previous generation?

Personally I haven't noticed any major difference compared to the 3G.

I have however noticed a quicker drop if you hold it in landscape mode with two hands. Just have to be mindful of covering the antenna. Could just be me though as I'm typing this from my bedroom and the router is downstairs, I typically get 1-2 bars with my iPad as well here.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

it gets it the same as my old 2g iPod touch if not better
