I use the 2018 macbook air in clamshell mode next to a Dell P2715Q monitor. I am beginning to notice what I believe is wifi signal interference from having the machine nearby.
The symptoms I have noticed are:
1. Disconnect / reconnection of the macbook in some way. Specifically, the "recharging" tone no matter what the volume is set at somewhat randomly but mostly when I get closer to the machine with my iPhone.
2. If I have an Xbox one x running 4k @ 60hz via a well shielded HDMI cable, and the macbook is nearby, the screen will randomly black out. It will sometimes do so at the same time that the recharging sound is played on the macbook.
3. If I unplug and move the macbook away from the display, both the tone and the screen blanking cease.
4. I am not sure if it is related, but I have had the macbook sort of lose internet, where disconnecting and reconnecting causes it to be fine once again.
I don't know for sure that there is a signal interference problem, but it seems like it. Has anyone else experienced anything remotely like this?
