you must have access via a wifi hotspot... meaning an open wireless internet source that is not password protected (unless you have the password). Most cities in the world do not have blanket wifi yet so you are left to "borrow" wifi signals from others... Therefore there is no real always available wifi. Starbucks offers free wifi inside their stores though.:)

Lies! It's through t-mobile, or at least it is here.

Meanwhile there is a Caribou coffee down the street that offers free wifi. Woo!

And yes, the touch doesn't have internet everywhere. And ironically, neither does the phone, hehe.
