I bought a webcam for a friend. Bought it specifically for the wide angle lens to use instead of the built in one on his 5K iMac. Webcam is a NexiGo 60N. I should have done more research and made the assumption that it would just work with a wide angle in FaceTime. This does not seem to be the case. Yesterday when using it with my friend the new camera had the same field of view as the iMac. Looking at the specs again for the camera it does not list FaceTime and I am wondering if FaceTime is just not capable of using a wide angle webcam or if there is something that is being missed for it to work?
