A religiously oppressed state
I ran a wide screen video through compressor and this is what came out:

The video looks fine except for this line running down the right edge. What happened?

The video coming in is DV Anamorphic and these are the setting I am using:

Does the raw footage have the same artifact when you view it in VLC and QT prior to compression? If so then I would say it is an issue with the camera, tape or type of tape being used. If you have never had this issue in the past with the same camera I would look into taking it in to get some maintenance.

The footage looks fine in FinalCut, the actual .dv file on the scratch disk, and a quicktime export straight from FCP.
