Wideband Voice for iPhone?

Anyone know when the iPhone will support wideband(hd) voice?

I feel like the iPhone does a million things that I'll probably never use, but the one thing I want it to do really well, is the one thing it arguably is pretty bad at - phone calls.

Probably when people actually care aboud HD voice; or when it actually offers something over the standard data encoding rate for voice.

Which is to say probably never.

Thought I'd bump this rather than start a new thread.

Now that the iPhone 5 supports wideband (aka HD) voice I'm really curious which 20 carriers are going to support it at launch. I found this site that tracks HD voice news, but no new info is seems to be available yet:
