I’m concerned about the appearance of text on high resolution wide screen LCD.

I’m using a PowerBook 4:3, 1024x768, and do a lot of word processing in Adobe Frame and some in Word, so a higher resolution would make the text smaller, and the wide screen would make it more elongated. Is this correct?

Is this a noticeable difference? And will enlarging the font size do the trick, or will this make it less crisp?

And, should I expect a major improvement with the higher resolution when it comes to text, or will I be disappointed?

My options are:

1) MBP, use bootcamp to run Frame and Word. This would also be a good one computer solution for me.

2) Use a 4:3 Windows computer for dedicated word processing, and a MB or MBP for everything else.

Price isn’t an issue, as they can be configured for about the same. I’m also leaning heavy towards the first option but want to make sure text is crisp and clean and readable as possible.

thanks in advance!
